I am a Freelance Production/ Stage Manager and Lighting Designer specialising in small- and mid-scale touring theatre, although I also work with dance, live art, music and puppetry.

I am based in Scotland, but have toured around the UK and internationally with companies such as Selina Thompson (“salt.”, “Race Cards”), Javaad Alipoor (“The Believers are but Brothers”) and Third Angel (“Partus”, “The Department of Distractions”). I am currently Production Manager for Buzzcut Festival (June 2021), Technical Manager for Newcastle Fringe Festival (July-August 2021), and Production/Health & Safety Director for Moving Parts Puppet Festival (August 2021).

I also work as Lead Artist on NAVIGATE, a project funded by Creative Scotland. The project is working with six early-career artists from a disadvantaged or marginalised background to develop Covid-safe forms of work, some across digital platforms and some outdoor projects.

I am passionate about health and safety, and am currently studying for an NCRQ Level 6 Certificate in Applied Health & Safety. I’m a keen linguist, currently studying Gaelic, Norwegian and Portuguese. I’m also a part of the ALD’s Sustainability Working Group and Bectu’s new Environmental Sustainability Group.

I am delighted to join the PMF Committee, and really looking forward to working with them to support production managers across the industry. In particular I’d like to reach out to freelancers working at small-scale, who don’t often get mentioned, but who are the life-blood of the industry.
