Park Theatre are looking for an experienced freelance Production Manager for the following coming up in our autumn season:

Show: SYDNEY & THE OLD GIRL by Eugene O’Hare

Stage: Park200 (200 seater and thrust stage)

Fee: £2,500 flat fee

Production dates:

White card: mid to late July

Final model: late August / early September (the designer is keen to front load as much of the preparation as possible) 

Week 1 Rehearsals: w/c 7 October (Park Theatre)

Week 2 Rehearsals: w/c 14 October (Park Theatre)

Week 3 Rehearsals: w/c 21 October (Park Theatre)

Technical Get In: w/c 28 October

First preview: Wednesday 30 October – 7.30pm

Press Performance: Tuesday 5 November – 7.00pm

Final performances: Saturday 30 November – 7.30pm

Get-out: Sunday 1 December 


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • work with the show’s Creative Team and the in-house Technical Team at Park Theatre to collect, collate and oversee all technical aspects of the production and to ensure that it is delivered to the highest possible standard within the constraints of the budget
  • liaise and arrange subhires with set-builders, hire companies (sound, lighting, costume and props) and compile recharges, ensuring that the realization of the production stays within budget
  • ensure that all financial transactions and arrangements are conveyed fully and properly to the Producer
  • monitor and control line items of the budget and cooperate with the Producer to work within the budget of the Production
  • ensure regular production meetings are held and that they are minuted and reported on the rehearsal reports
  • manage the logistics of and oversee the get-in and technical rehearsals of the show and ensuring that Stage Management team are sufficiently briefed to continue the run of the production
  • address with the Producers and the Creative Team any technical shortfall or venue difficulties that may affect the ability to produce the required designs
  • ensure that all physical elements of the Production complies with current health and safety legislation
  • ensure PAT, fire-proofing, lifting and rigging equipment hold a current and appropriate certification.
  • oversee and ensure the smooth-running of the get-out
