Your responsibilities will entail: 
– Support the Production Manager in day-to-day operations;
– Oversee technical operations (sound, lighting, set, rigging, automation, projections, etc.);
– Apply health and safety measures in compliance with Cirque policy and applicable laws;
– Oversee technical equipment (maintenance, alterations and replacement);
– Manage additional purchases;
– Ensure technical documentation is updated and technical specifications are respected;
– Assist the Production Manager in organizing load-ins and load-outs;
– Contribute to integrating, training and developing team members;
– In collaboration with the technical team’s head technicians and maintenance coordinators, update and archive maintenance logs;
– Ensure all alterations made to the site and equipment are documented, and take part in inspection and preventive maintenance programs;
– Support the Production Manager in monitoring the team’s budget;
– Oversee temporary local staff during load-in, load-out and the performance run;
– Liaise with various International Headquarters divisions in following up on specific projects and requests;
– Represent the Production Manager in certain operational matters, as needed;
– Manage local runners and team purchases;
– Respect and support procedures and requirements set by Cirque du Soleil with regard to managing equipment and stock;
– Use the tools and procedures provided by the global equipment management team to manage inventory and equipment data;
– Follow requirements defined by the customs and logistics departments for transporting equipment with touring shows;
We would like to meet you if you have:
 
– College diploma (or equivalent) in live entertainment or theatre production (or equivalent work experience);
– Eight to ten years experience in show business technical management;
– Arena experience, an asset;
– Touring experience an asset;
– Knowledge of Microsoft applications for Windows;
– Fluency in spoken and written English is essential;
– Available to tour full time and to work in foreign countries.
